How To Make a Quick and Easy Crystal Suncatcher
Просмотров 3,8 тыс.2 года назад
How about a quick project to brighten your day? I'm making a suncatcher from some beautiful crystal beads & focal. I'm using 18g wire in this one so I can make simple loops instead of wrapped loops. The thicker wire will fill up the holes in the glass crystal and it is strong enough to hold without wrapping. I finished this on a cloudy day but it still shines bright! I had a wire break when I was wearing a 40 inch tourmaline necklace I made. I bought Artistic Wire gauge 26, 0.17 inch, which obviously was not strong enough. Fortunately I rescued all the small stones. What should I buy to restring it?

      @OctopusDobyCRoss День назад

      @@KimWatson-v1m you need a stranded wire not a single wire listed as a gauge. Make sure it says beading wire like in the video.

    Excellent video talking about the Harbor Freight caliper which only costs $10 and is very accurate. BUT to get the ID if the jump ring you really need to disassemble one link, close up the jump ring, and then measure the ID. I think then you would find the aspect ratios between the two chains much closer.
